November 14th End-of-Shutdown SNAP Benefits Update:

The federal government shutdown has ended. As of November 14, Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is now issuing full Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits.

  *  If you receive SNAP benefits normally distributed after the 14th of the month, you will receive your full amount on your regular date.

  *  If you received only a portion of your November SNAP benefits earlier this month, the remainder is being issued starting November 14.

  *  For issues, Texans are encouraged to call the Lone Star Help Desk at 800-777-7328.

November 10th Update:

Texas SNAP Recipients: Per HHSC, partial benefits began being loaded last night. Those originally scheduled to receive their benefits the 1st - 10th should show the benefits loaded. HHSC is closely monitoring potential federal votes this week and have begun work on the file needed to provide full benefits should Congress fully fund SNAP.
